There are evenings that remind you exactly why you fell in love with watches, not because of price tags or press releases, but because of stories, proper, lived-in, saltwater-and-gunpowder stories. This was one of those evenings. With a spread of extraordinary vintage Tudor military pieces laid out before a room full of devoted enthusiasts, and one of the world’s foremost authorities on Rolex, James Dowling, seated to my left.

Now, the team weighs in: if you could only own three Tudors in 2025 (and beyond), which would they be? It’s a job made easier now that we’ve got a bunch on-hand to play with in London, but as you’ll see, our contributing writers all have a slightly different take on the perfect Tudor trio.
INTRODUCING
The Tudor Ranger is already an extremely versatile, eminently wearable watch. It’s almost the Platonic ideal of a field watch: extremely legible, refined but with no frills, an approachable 39mm diameter, and the product of over 70 years of heritage, inspired by the Tudors worn by members of the British North Greenland Expedition in the 1950s. Some would say, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Not Tudor, though.

It’s not every day you get to announce to the world that you are collaborating with one of the biggest watch brands currently operating, but today we are very pleased to say that Tudor is coming into our London Discovery Studio for a four-month residency in the form a lounge and library where you can not only learn about and experience Tudor but also buy the entire brand’s catalogue.

This is the biggest moment in Time+Tide’s retail journey. As a company, we have been around for nearly 12 years now, but as a retailer, we haven’t been operating that long. With our Discovery Studio in Melbourne being open for over two years and London for just over one, we can now lay claim to having one of the biggest and perhaps the most beloved brands in our London Studio: Tudor.

So… what exactly is the Tudor Library & Lounge?
It’s Tudor, but not as you’ve seen it before. A place to browse, try on, and buy from a curated selection of Tudor timepieces — all within a space designed for discovery and conversation. Think of it as part boutique, part library, part lounge.
Why is this different from other Tudor retailers?
Because it offers a more relaxed, immersive way to experience Tudor. The Library & Lounge gives you time, space, and expert guidance to explore the watches at your own pace, in an environment built for conversation and discovery, with the freedom to enjoy the brand however you like.
Is it just for browsing, or can I actually buy a watch?
You can absolutely buy a Tudor. The Lounge will be a fully authorised Tudor retail experience. You’ll be able to explore and purchase from our curated selection of Tudor’s most sought-after pieces, plus a few surprises you won’t find on every shelf in town.

When does it open?
It’s open now! The Library & Lounge experience will be open from 10am-6pm Mon-Sat all the way up till March 2026. The books will be stacked, the watches polished, and the coffee hot.
